Active Shooter trainings for IUP employees will take place
on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Two sessions will be offered, each lasting
approximately one hour.
The first training is at 9:00 a.m. and the second session begins at
1:00 p.m. The training will be held in G-98 Wallwork Hall.
To confirm your
attendance, please email Megan Heilbrun at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Active shooter incidents are often unpredictable and evolve
quickly. In the midst of the chaos, anyone can play an integral role in
mitigating the impacts of an active shooter incident. IUP police officers will
be instructing how to prepare for and respond during and after an active
shooter incident. They will share a training video, answer questions,
and promote the sharing of information, most commonly referred to as
the “See Something, Say Something” concept.
