Due to recent events in the news, it is important that every employee handling or receiving mail can identify a suspicious letter or parcel. Although occurrences are rare, it is essential to know what to do when suspicious mail is received. All staff
must remain alert for the tell-tale signs of potentially dangerous mail and packages.

If you receive a suspicious letter or package:
- Stop. Don’t Handle
- Isolate it immediately.
- Don’t open, smell, or taste.
- Activate your emergency plan. Notify a supervisor.
