Join the IUP Career and Professional Development Center on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. in the Elkin Hall Great Room for “The Powerful Effects of Body Language,” presented by Tammy Manko. Following the presentation, there will be networking with various employers and the Career Center staff. IUP Panhellenic will also host a Women’s Dessert and Debrief in Elkin Hall following the presentation.

Body language can both positively and sometimes negatively impact our daily lives. Attend this presentation to understand the ins and outs of body language and learn some small changes you can begin to make in your own daily personal and professional lives.

This event is part of the Career and Professional Development Center’s Career Ready Seminar Series, which aims to provide targeted events to help IUP students gain and understand the necessary skills and competencies to be successful in life after graduation.

Kelsey Thompson, assistant director of the CPDC, is looking forward to this presentation, which is also the final event in their Career Ready Seminar Series this semester. “Our department has enjoyed hosting employers, panelists, and guest speakers throughout the course of this newly launched seminar series,” Thompson said. “We hope that students have enjoyed the variety of topics and subjects covered, and we are especially looking forward to the final event with Dr. Manko’s engaging presentation on body language.  We hope students will leave with new information, as well as tips and tricks to take and use in the future.”
