Join the IUP Career and Professional
Development Center on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. in the Elkin Hall
Great Room for “The Powerful Effects of Body Language,” presented by Tammy
Manko. Following the presentation, there
will be networking with various employers and the Career Center staff. IUP Panhellenic will also host a
Women’s Dessert and Debrief in Elkin Hall following the presentation.
Body language can both positively and
sometimes negatively impact our daily lives. Attend this presentation to
understand the ins and outs of body language and learn some small changes you
can begin to make in your own daily personal and professional lives.
This event is part of the Career and
Professional Development Center’s Career Ready Seminar Series, which aims to
provide targeted events to help IUP students gain and understand the necessary
skills and competencies to be successful in life after graduation.
Kelsey Thompson, assistant director
of the CPDC, is looking forward to this presentation, which is also the final
event in their Career Ready Seminar Series this semester. “Our department has enjoyed hosting
employers, panelists, and guest speakers throughout the course of this newly
launched seminar series,” Thompson said. “We hope that students have enjoyed
the variety of topics and subjects covered, and we are especially looking
forward to the final event with Dr. Manko’s engaging presentation on
