Rhonda Luckey, who served IUP students and the university community for 30 years—most recently as vice president for Student Affairs—retired from IUP earlier this month. Just prior to her retirement, IUP President Michael Driscoll said, “She has an incredible dedication to our students and to this university and is respected by her peers across the State System of Higher Education. She is a key member of the leadership team, consistently setting a tone of collegiality and collaboration that has been fundamental to our successes. She is part of the soul of this institution, and I know how much this university continues to mean to her.”
In recognition of her dedication and in honor of her legacy, a scholarship is being established in her name. The Rhonda Luckey Scholarship will support students who demonstrate excellence in cocurricular engagement. To date, nearly $17,000 has been committed towards the $25,000 goal. Upon reaching $25,000 the scholarship will become endowed, enabling it to be awarded in perpetuity.
Please help us reach that goal! To make a contribution supporting IUP students in honor of Dr. Luckey’s outstanding service, please visit IUP’s online giving page. IUP employees may also make commitments through payroll deduction. Please contact the Office of Annual Giving at 724-357-5555 or email@example.com with questions.
