September is National Preparedness Month—Are you prepared?
Managed and sponsored by the Ready campaign, National Preparedness Month is designed to raise awareness and encourage Americans to take steps to prepare for emergencies in their homes,
schools, organizations, businesses, and places of worship.
National Preparedness Month is an opportunity to share emergency preparedness information and host activities across the country to help Americans understand what it truly means to be ready.
This year’s theme is “Disasters Happen. Prepare Now. Learn How.”
This is the first week of National Preparedness Month, and the first weekly theme is “Make and Practice Your Plan.”
Planning is the key to success; and practice, as they say, makes perfect. So step one is to make a plan. Each family’s plan will be unique to their needs.
