The Office of Extended Studies is offering a noncredit course Beginning American Sign Language starting on Monday, September 24, 2018.
Learn to converse with people who are hearing impaired. You'll learn the basics of sign language including form, finger spelling, and concepts that underlie signing for words. Upon completion of the course, students will have the skills to effectively
communicate with individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Bonnie Bell has been interpreting for the deaf and hard of hearing for 30 years in a wide variety of situations as well as teaching Beginning and Intermediate American Sign Language many semesters in the non-credit division at IUP.
