All student workers, and supervisors of student workers, are reminded that the annual mandatory Title IX and Protection of Minors online training is also applicable to this group of employees. Student workers automatically receive their individualized
training access e-mail from Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education as their payroll paperwork is completed and approved. Returning employees will receive their e-mail on or about September 11, 2018.
The courses are titled “Intersections: Preventing Harassment and Sexual Violence” and “EDU: Protect Children (Pennsylvania),” and both courses must be completed within 30 days of receiving the e-mail.
Each e-mail and access link are individualized so that course completion can be correctly recorded electronically in SAP. You can not forward or share e-mails/links, as only the person who received the e-mail will get credit for completion.
You will have an opportunity to print a training certificate after completing each session, which you should keep for your records, or submit to your supervisor if requested. Do not forward these certificates to the Office of Social Equity, as your course completion will be electronically recorded. Time
during work hours and computer access are to be provided by each division, college, or department in order for all personnel to meet their requirement.
Further information can be found o
n the Mandatory Training website, or by contacting Karen Mathe in the Office of Social Equity at email@example.com. IUP’s
Title IX policy and support documents can be found on the Title IX Sexual Misconduct Resources webpage. Questions about policy and protocol should be directed to Elise Glenn at firstname.lastname@example.org.
