The start of the semester means classes will soon be in full swing. As you prepare for your first week on campus, attendance is key for a variety of reasons.
Success begins the moment you step into the classroom. If you fall behind, it can be difficult to catch up later in the semester. In addition, because of US Department of Education regulations, students who fail to attend a class during their first week
can actually delay or lose their financial aid.
Students who cannot attend classes for valid reasons should let their advisors and professors know.
IUP is committed to helping students succeed. Reach out to the Academic
Success Center if you need any help in planning your class attendance or academic workload.
