The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a flash flood watch for Indiana County from Wednesday, August 1, through Friday, August 3, 2018.
Rainfall totals of 1.5 to 2.5 inches are expected, with locally higher amounts possible. This is on top of what has already fallen in some locations, with saturated soils making these areas prone to flash flooding.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation!
You should monitor forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
