The National Science Foundation is holding its Major Research
Instrumentation (MRI) program competition. Institutions are limited to no more
than two Track 1 submissions (requesting from NSF $100,000 to less than $1
million) and no more than one Track 2 submission (requesting from NSF $1
million to $4 million). Proposals within the two tracks may be for either
acquisition or development of a research instrument. Due to the limited number
of permitted submissions, IUP is holding an
internal competition for interested IUP faculty and staff members.
Please review the submission details and internal competition
information on the competition page
in InfoReady Review. In the past, IUP has been very successful in obtaining
awards from this program, so we strongly encourage you to consider this
opportunity.
For general information on the MRI program, please see the Program Synopsis. For more detailed
information about award limits, eligibility, and other considerations, please
refer to the Program Guidelines and the Frequently Asked Questions. Proposals for the
IUP internal competition should be submitted via InfoReady Review
no later than Monday, October 1, 2018 at 4:30 pm. Once approved, full
proposals to NSF will be due January 1, 2019.
