The Office of Housing, Residential Living, and Dining
proudly celebrated another year with our residents, student leaders, and
professional staff at the end-of-the-year OHRLD Student Leadership Banquet on
Sunday, April 22, 2018.
This event is always bittersweet as we
recognize the leaders who are graduating with much affection and gratitude and
announce the new leadership for the Residence Hall Association and the National
Residence Hall Honorary. With a nod to
the most recent additions to the OHRLD family, the peer mentors from Health Awareness
were recognized as well as our “therapy dog of the year,” Ranger!
Theresa McDevitt announced the awards for
the IUP Libraries Living Learning Bulletin Board, and our Living Learning Partner
of the Year was Sara Dillon from the Maple East Community. The big award of the day is always the
Community of the Year, and this year the winner was Northern Suites. Their bid featured Bill Nye the Science Guy, and their experiment included taking a group of students from “move in” to
making friends “for a lifetime.”
