Digital Literature Festival on April 25

A Digital Literature Festival will be held at locations on the first floor of the Humanities and Social Sciences Building, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 25.

The festival is presented in collaboration with the Center for Digital Humanities and Culture and the Critical Play Union, and with the generous support of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Departments of English and Theater.

HSS 126 Welcome from CHSS Dean Yaw Asamoah

9:15-1:00 p.m.

HSS 102 Something Wicked, a 2D side-scrolling combat video game adaptation of Macbeth

HSS 102 Video games developed by Dr. Ramy Shaaban’s Communications Media students.

HSS 102 Queer game station, sponsored by IUP Pride Alliance

HSS 123 Play the Knave, a Shakespeare karaoke game for 1-4 players

HSS foyer Hypertext Arcade: a collaborative interactive digital text invention

HSS 114 Twine Storygame Arcade: Interactive texts created by the students of Indiana Area and Franklin Regional schools

11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

HSS 215 Bring-your-lunch presentation: Dr. Gina Bloom of UC-Davis will present “Videogame Shakespeare: Playing with Performance in a STEM-to-STEAM Future
