Hunger Awareness Week

Check out the Hunger Awareness Week and Seedling Project activities on April 23–27, 2018.  

  1. Food Drive: Please donate items for the food drive Tuesday–Thursday, April 24–26 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the HUB cul-de-sac.
  2. Guest Speaker and Poster Making Session: Please join speaker Amanda Brown Cross to discuss “Campus Cupboard Study: A Needs Assessment of Collegiate Food Insecurity in Southwest Pennsylvania.” This will take place Wednesday, April 25, with the Poster Making Session from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. and the speaker from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Humanities and Social Sciences Building, room 225.
  3. Poverty Simulation: The poverty simulation is designed to help participants begin to understand what it might be like to live in a typical low-income family trying to survive month to month. This takes place Friday, April 27, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the HUB Ohio Room. Please preregister with
