The Eta Chapter of Phi Sigma Pi at Indiana University of Pennsylvania is sponsoring several events on campus and in the Indiana community to recognition of Autism Awareness Week.
Members of the fraternity decorated residence hall windows with puzzle pieces of different shapes and colors. The puzzle piece is known as the primary symbol for autism, adopted because of an early belief that autistic people suffered from a 'puzzling' condition.
Phi Sigma Pi will host a presentation to promote Autism Awareness on Monday, March 26, at 6:30 p.m. in Wallwork Hall, Room G93.
On Tuesday, March 27, the fraternity will be in the Oak Grove manning a photo booth from 12:00 until 3:00 p.m.
Wednesday, March 28, is Bingo Night at the HUB Monongahela Room from 7:30 until 9:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend. There is a $5 entry fee at the door.
Head out on the town Thursday night for dinner at Spaghetti Benders, located at 563 Philadelphia Street. A portion of all dinners purchased between 5:00 and 9:00 p.m. will be donated to the cause.
All money raised will go towards supplies for Lifesteps of Indiana County.
