Orientation Leaders Attend Regional Conference

Over Spring Break, four Student Success leaders attended the NODA (the Association for Orientation, Transition, and Retention in Higher Education) Region VIII conference held at Rutgers University.

The attendees included:

  • Terra Cravener, a junior child development and family relations major from Shelocta, Pa.
  • Kelsey Delozier, a senior majoring in history/pre-law and English/pre-law from Douglassville, Pa.
  • Kendall Jones, a sophomore natural sciences/pre-physical therapy major from Philadelphia, Pa.
  • Lilly Woltman a junior child development and family relations major from Hummelstown, Pa.

Over the three-day program, these students each attended seven educational sessions, participated in a community service project, and had the opportunity to network with fellow orientation student staff members from colleges and universities in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia, Virginia, and Washington, DC.

Jhane Cummings, graduate assistant for the Office of New Student Orientation and Major and Career Exploration, attended as well.
