In fall 2017, the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex hosted its busiest event season
in KCAC history. It kicked off the fall with a Lil Uzi Vert concert, which
was sold out and was the largest concert ever in the venue’s history. Throughout the fall it hosted national touring events
such as Aaron Lewis, Crowder, Rodney Carrington, and the Beach Boys. The KCAC closed
out the 2017 lineup with a successful
Christmas spectacular on December 10. From October through
December, the complex hosted 85 events with an estimated 30,000 guests visiting
In the six years the building has
been in open, the KCAC has hosted 553 arena
events and 2,526 convention center events. Now, as its seventh year starts, it is about to welcome its one-millionth
patron through the doors.
The KCAC management team has an exciting celebration and prize pack put
together for the lucky patron. The one-millionth patron will receive two tickets
to all KCAC ticketed events and free parking for one year. Also, they will receive
two season tickets for IUP football and IUP basketball, a $50 food voucher
courtesy of Aramark to be used at the venue’s concession stands, and a one-night stay at the IUP Hilton Garden Inn.
“We are excited about closing in on this milestone,” said Pinnacle Venue Services’ Andrew Thompson,
general manager of the KCAC. “Our One-Millionth Patron Celebration is
a once-in-a-lifetime possibility for one lucky person, and we can’t wait to celebrate with them.”
