Faculty members and a doctoral student from the Department of Counseling delivered several presentations
at the Association for Specialists in Group Work (ASGW) national conference
held in Savannah, Georgia.
Faculty members Lorraine Guth and Laura Marshak along
with doctoral student Emily Lasinsky presented “Group Counseling Wellness
Strategies for People with Intellectual Disabilities.”
Faculty members Brittany Pollard and Lorraine Guth
delivered the presentation “You Want to Talk About What? Ten Tips for
Addressing Sensitive Issues in Groups.”
Lorraine Guth was also part of a panel presentation
titled “Research in Group Work: A Renewed Focus on Exemplary Methods.”
