At the December meeting of the Allegheny Arboretum Board, recognition was given to Tom Borellis for his contributions to the arboretum and IUP. A bench and recognition plaque will be placed on the IUP campus in his honor.
Borellis has been at IUP since 2001 and has held a number of administrative positions. Currently, he is the special assistant to the vice president for Special Projects. He was a key administrator on the Residential Revival Project at IUP, and was instrumental
in the development and organization of the Allegheny Arboretum.
Although he will retire in January, he will continue to serve on the arboretum board and will be an active participant in the development of the Arboretum’s Confluence Park at IUP.
