Colleagues,

I am saddened to tell you of the passing of one of our students, Ryan Decker, following a vehicle accident on January 5 in Indiana County.

Ryan, 21, a sophomore history major from Armagh, was a student worker in IUP’s Facilities Operations.

Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. today at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh, where a service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, with Pastor James Pardee officiating. Interment will be in Germany Lutheran Cemetery.

Online condolences may be left at Stuart Funeral Home.

The death of someone you knew can evoke strong feelings. The best way to cope is to talk to your closest friends, family members, or trusted teachers. There are people among us who have experienced similar events, and they are often more than willing to help others going through difficult circumstances.

When the semester resumes, students who would like to speak with a counselor may call 724-357-2621 or visit the Counseling Center in the Center for Health and Well-Being, Suites on Maple East.

Sincerely,

Michael A. Driscoll
