Recently, Erick Lauber (Journalism and Pubic Relations) conducted two leadership communication workshops. One was for the IUP Financial Aid Office, titled “How to be Heard in an Environment Meant to Keep You Quiet”. The second was titled “Effective Leadership Communication” for the Executive Leader Series put on by the Center for Multicultural Student Leadership and Engagement.

Participants learned about different communication styles, how to be assertive and effective in the workplace, and personal tendencies and strengths.

Lauber is the developer of the Indiana County Leadership Program and a frequent presenter and author on leadership and communications topics. His recent book, Don’t Break the Rope!, has been used in several workplaces and was recently the topic of a SHRM workshop.
