World AIDS Day is observed each year and is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV, and remember those who have died. Started in 1988, World AIDS Day was the first-ever global health day.

On Thursday, November 30, 2017, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. the Health and Wellness Promotion peer educators will host a World AIDS Day awareness event in the atrium of the Health and Social Sciences Building. 

There will be a personal perspective speaker, a condom fashion show, awareness tables from ATOD (Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs program), the Haven Project, LGBTQIA, the IUP Health Center, and Community Health.  Enter to win a $15 Sheetz gift card.

This event is open to IUP and the community.
