NSF Fall Grant Conference Webcast at Research Institute

The IUP Research Institute will host a live stream of the NSF’s fall 2017 grant conference on November 13 and 14.

The National Science Foundation will live stream the plenary sessions of the conference from Phoenix Arizona. The IUP Research Institute will have the conference streaming live, on both days, in our conference room at 1179 Grant Street, Suite 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There is no cost or limit for participants to view the live stream. Therefore, if you cannot make it to the Research Institute register to view the conference on your own device, you can register online.

Some of the topics include:

  • NSF’s purpose, programs, and budget highlights, including areas of special emphasis and other special initiatives.
  • Learn more about the various mechanisms NSF uses to fund proposals.
  • NSF program officers will review how and when to prepare a proposal, including discussion of what constitutes a project and proposal of high quality.

If you wish to attend the conference away from the RI, see below for the technical requirements for virtual participation:

  • Most recent version of Google Chrome, Firefox, MS Edge, or Safari
  • Operating system: Windows 7+, Mac OSX 10.7+, or Ubuntu 10+
  • Internet connection with 1+ Mbps
  • It can help to close other tabs, browsers, and programs while streaming the live webcast. It also helps to hardwire your Internet connection, instead of using a wireless network connection.
