Primate Cognition Presentation and Discussion

Posted on 11/6/2017 10:49:00 AM

Please join the Behavioral Neuroscience Journal Club as it meets for a presentation and discussion of research on the cognitive capabilities of non-human primates.

Gina Vaira (MS student in biology) will lead this month’s discussion and will present to the group her recent research investigating the cognitive capabilities of the siamang (Hylobatidae), an endangered ape species from Southeast Asia.

Vaira will also describe some comparative aspects of primate cognition, and how studies of non-human primate cognition can improve their conservation and management.

All are welcome to attend.
