The Lively Arts at IUP rolls out its new community support program “Lively Collaborations” as it partners with the Indiana County NAACP the night of the upcoming Black Violin performance at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, at Fisher Auditorium in the IUP Performing Arts Center.

“We’re very excited to kick off our new Lively Collaborations program with such a well-respected group as the Indiana County NAACP,” said Kristen Koehler, executive director of the Lively Arts.

Indiana County NAACP BannerA main component of the partnering program is to issue the partnering nonprofit organization a special discount code which would entitle a patron to $4 off per ticket (limit two tickets per patron) for the event that the organization has reserved. For every $4 discount issued, a $2 donation will be made to the nonprofit.

The code for the Indiana County NAACP is “NAACP4” for the Black Violin concert. This code can be entered in the discount box with online orders, or given to the Lively Arts ticket agent with orders made over the phone or in person. (Discount cannot be applied to already-purchased tickets.)

“Indiana County NAACP looks forward to this fundraiser collaboration with the Lively Arts at IUP for the performance with Black Violin,” said Roger Briscoe, vice president of the Indiana County NAACP.

The Lively Collaborations program was announced this summer in the season brochure with the hopes of attracting the interest of local nonprofit organizations looking for a new—and entertaining—way to create funds to support their cause. In addition to the discount code that members can share with their volunteers, family, and friends, members are invited to set up a table in the lobby where they can share information about their organization during the night of the performance.

“We look forward to working with the NAACP and many other nonprofit organizations in our community. It is an honor to help support the important work that these organizations do to help make our community a wonderful place to work and live,” Koehler added.

Upcoming Lively Collaborations include the Westsylvania Jazz and Blues Festival and the Indiana Arts Council for 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 3, the night that the Hot Sardines are at Fisher Auditorium.
