Theater-by-the-Grove announces open auditions for our spring productions. Sign up for an audition time on the bulletin boards outside of Waller Hall B-14. Non-majors, university, and local community members are all welcome! See IUP Lively Arts for performance dates.

The Wolves

by Sarah DeLappe

  • Audition November 13, with callbacks on November 15

Please prepare a one-minute contemporary monologue (from a play written in the 21st century). Choose something age appropriate to you.

Please note: Should you be given a callback on the 15th, you should come in athletic clothes and shoes.

Twelfth Night, or What You Will

by William Shakespeare

  • Audition November 13, with callbacks on November 14 and 15

Please prepare a one-minute monologue from a play by Shakespeare or one of his contemporaries. A verse piece is preferable if you want to be considered for all of the roles in the play. A prose monologue from a play by Shakespeare or one of his contemporaries can be presented, but this will limit your casting options. The character of Feste sings and those who are interested in that part should prepare a short unaccompanied song. (It need not be a period song, but the emphasis should be on melody and meaning).
