The GLBT Commission is pleased to announce three Ally Training opportunities scheduled in October. Ally Training is for any student, faculty, or staff member interested in social justice and advocacy work. Participants will experience skill-building activities in developing communication and collaboration, as well as practical exercises in community development. It incorporates the benefits of being an ally to any marginalized community, while focusing on the LGBTQIA community.
The first session will be presented as part of the Six O'Clock Series on Monday, October 9, 2017, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the HUB Ohio Room. The second training opportunity will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at 4:30 p.m. in the HUB Monongahela Room, while the third session will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017, at 4:30 p.m. in the HUB Susquehanna Room.
These trainings are sponsored by LGBTQIA Support, Pride Alliance, and the GLBT Commission. For further information, please e-mail Tedd Cogar at firstname.lastname@example.org.
