IUP’s Police Department works to ensure that everyone in the IUP community feels safe, secure, and welcome while living, learning, and working on our campuses.

While IUP has a number of resources in place to create and maintain a safe environment, including an escort service, we understand that situations can occur when you have immediate concerns about your own physical well-being, that of your colleagues and peers, as well as the general safety of our community.

If you are out on campus and concerned about your safety, please activate a blue light phone, which automatically connects to University Police.

As always, in the event of an emergency, please call 9-1-1. If you wish to report a crime or a situation of concern, you can also call IUP Police at 724-357-2141. You can report a crime or policy violation anonymously by calling the Crime Tip Hotline at 724-357-2255. IUP also offers anonymous reporting online.

The IUP Police Department is located at 850 Maple Street in University Towers at the corner of Wayne Avenue and Maple Street and is open 24 hours a day.
