NEH Summer Stipend Competition: Letter of Intent Due Friday, September 1

Posted on 8/16/2017 11:42:48 AM

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) is holding a summer stipend competition for faculty. Applicants must be nominated by their institution to apply and we are limited to two faculty nominees.

In order to select IUP's nominated applicants, we are holding an internal competition. Interested faculty members should complete the Letter of Intent Form (.doc) with 1–2 page project synopsis and submit it for review by Friday, September 1, 2017. Summer stipends provide $6,000 for two consecutive months of full-time research and writing. Recipients must work full-time on their projects for these two months.

Internal Competition Letters of Intent with 1–2 page synopsis must be submitted no later than Friday, September 1, 2017 to:

Tracy Eisenhower, MA, CRA
1179 Grant Street, Suite One
Indiana, PA 15701

More information about the NEH summer stipend competition can be found on the National Endowment for the Humanities website. Please note, however, that the internal competition to select IUP's two nominees only requires completion of the Letter of Intent Form and a 1–2 page project synopsis by September 1.
