Nursing Faculty, Alumni, and Students Present Research at International Nursing Research Congress

Students, alumni, and faculty from the Department of Nursing and Allied Health Professions recently presented research at the 28th International Nursing Research Congress in Dublin, Ireland, in July 2017.

Teresa Shellenbarger and Julie Decker (Penn State University) presented a podium presentation, “Understanding the Experiences of Veterans Enrolled in Prelicensure Nursing Programs.”

Diane Hunker (Chatham University), Elizabeth Gazza (University of North Carolina Wilmington), and Teresa Shellenbarger presented an oral podium presentation titled “Doctoral Nursing Students’ Use of Evidence-Based Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes of Scholarly Writing.”

Julia Greenawalt presented a poster session with Margie Molloy titled “Technological Solutions to Foster Communication in Multisite Longitudinal Studies.”

DNP to PhD student Maria Mackey presented a poster titled, “Attitudes Toward the Elderly Among Pre-Licensure Nursing Student.”

PhD alumna Paulette Dorney presented a poster titled, “The ‘Lived Experience’ of Nursing Faculty Following the Death of a Student.”
