IUP Ranked as a Top Ten College in Pennsylvania

IUP Ranked in Top 10 Colleges in Pennsylvania by Schools.comIndiana University of Pennsylvania has been ranked as a “top ten” Pennsylvania university by Schools.com.

List editors considered factors that included in-state tuition and fees, estimated cost of books and supplies, debt load of graduates, and the number of degree and certificate programs offered.

Editors also praised IUP for its extensive number of degree programs, ease of transfer, weekend and evening degree programs, and its career services program.

IUP offers more than 140 undergraduate majors and more than 60 graduate programs, including 14 doctoral programs. In addition, students can complete more than 65 minors and scores of specialized tracks and certificate programs, including certificate in athletic coaching, gerontology, photography and digital imaging, popular music, and public history.

IUP continues to add state-of-the-art programs of study for its students. Its newest undergraduate majors are public health and environmental engineering, both in-demand careers in Pennsylvania and throughout the nation.

IUP is routinely selected by national publications for excellence. IUP has been selected for the Princeton Review’s “Best Colleges” guidebook since 2002, and has been included in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges list, in Forbes magazine’s “America’s Best Colleges” rankings, and Washington Monthly’s national ranking of universities based on contributions to society.
