The second annual Cyber Security Seminar on June 23, 2017, was a great success, with 174 people that attended the half-day event. It was co-hosted by the IUP Office of Extended Studies, S&T Bank, and Infragard.
Assistant United States Attorney James Kitchen, of the Western District of Pennsylvania, was the keynote speaker and presented “An Update on Cyber Threats.” Speakers Jonathan Brown (Anthracite), Daniel Larkin (PNC Enterprise Fraud Group), and Stephanie
Sjoberg (Giant Eagle, Inc.) addressed cyber fraud, insider threats, and social media, respectively. A panel of experts from IUP, Dollar Bank, the FBI, and the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining answered questions from the audience.
In addition to our co-hosts, 14 other sponsors helped to support this critical event: Cadre Information Security, Varonis, Comcast, Tech Data, Catalyst Connection, Wombat, Indiana County Chamber of Commerce, World Education.net, Dollar Bank, the National
Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining, First Commonwealth Bank, CNB Bank, the Better Business Bureau, and Tri-County Technology Consortium.
We thank our sponsors and everyone that attended!
