and Public Relations Department professor Laurie Miller spent nine days in Cuba, May 16–24, on a “people to people” educational tour.
As a member of a “people-to-people” small-group educational tour, Miller traveled between Havana and Cienfuegos and also visited Trinidad and Santa Clara. Through the people-to-people experience, Miller interacted with the Cuban people and observed the
changing landscape and political environment in the island country.
Miller’s observations and photos are published in the article “ Postcard from Cuba: People connect, governments disconnect ” in the HawkEye.
