Hannah Mercer (’17) was announced as the winner of the 2017 Research Award at the Pennsylvania Sports Business Conference, which was held at IUP on Friday, April 21, 2017.
According to its webpage, the Pennsylvania Sports Business Conference Research Award recognizes “an undergraduate…student for their contributions to furthering the industry through research” on the basis of the quality of the research and the relevance of the topic.
Hannah’s research project, “An Analysis of Gender Inequality in Professional Tennis,” was co-authored with Patrick Edwards (’17) and was completed as part of the honors track in economics under the direction of faculty member James Jozefowicz. Congratulations, Hannah!
