Tom Simmons, professor of Biology, gave a guest lecture on Lyme disease in the Epidemiology and Control of Infectious Diseases course at the Brown University School of Public Health in Providence, Rhode Island, on April 24, 2017.
The lecture was attended by students in Brown University’s undergraduate and graduate public health programs.
Simmons presented information on the occurrence and distribution of Lyme disease in the United States, Europe, and Asia; biology of the disease agents and tick vectors; and past, current, and future control measures.
