Record Breaker: Highest Participation Rate, Highest Dollar Amount in University Family Drive

Topping last year’s record-breaking effort, the 2017 University Family Drive smashed through the goal of 800 donors, thanks to the help of a dedicated team of 60 volunteers.

Your work prepares our students to be great contributors to society. Your gifts make our students proud and show our external constituents that we believe in ourselves. Because of you, our students are even more motivated to work harder to succeed. And, as the video above indicates, they are grateful.

This year, 823 employees made IUP students a philanthropic priority, placing IUP’s employee participation at 57 percent of those actively solicited—the highest percentage ever. You made gifts to 205 different funds on campus. The drive’s main focus was participation, and 45 areas reached 100 percent! Our cumulative giving totals are also impressive. More than $289,000 has been committed by our university community this year—another a new high.

Coming together for the greater good is the IUP way. On behalf of the students who benefit, thank you!

The victory celebration in recognition of donors, volunteers, and the program areas that reached 100 percent participation will be held Wednesday, April 26, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Blue Room in John Sutton Hall. President Michael Driscoll will make remarks at 3:00 p.m.
