If you make your commitment to the Foundation for IUP today,
you’ll be doing so along with hundreds of graduating seniors. Today (Tuesday, April 4, 2017) is Salute to
Grads Day at the IUP Co-op Store, and many seniors are picking up their
graduation regalia and making their senior class gift.
Seniors have elected to lend their support to their
respective college’s Dean’s Merit Scholarship fund again this year. Gifts to
these funds give each dean the ability to reward academically talented students
with merit-based scholarship support. Students who give a gift of at least
$20.17 will receive crimson and gray philanthropy cords to wear at graduation.
These cords represent a lifelong reciprocal relationship between students and
the university. Last year, a record 426 seniors contributed more than $9,000 to
the Foundation for IUP!
Seniors aren’t the only ones making gifts in support of our
university. Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are joining in the action, too.
IUP’s first all-student giving project, Give to the Grove, is also underway.
This project invites all students to make gifts to the IUP Arboretum fund in
order to plant and preserve trees in the beloved Oak Grove.
Like our faculty and staff community, students are embracing
philanthropy and the collective impact of their participation. Together, we can
make a difference! Join our students by making your gift today. Your participation in the University Family Drive is
important. If you’ve already made your commitment, thank you!
The University Family Drive runs through April 21. It is 57 percent
to the goal of 800 donors, and it’s worthy of your support. For more
information on how you can make an impact on IUP students, including how to
download a pledge form or make an electronic commitment via payroll deduction,
visit the University Family Drive.
You may also make on gift on your credit card. Gifts are tax deductible, per IRS
regulations. Please contact the Office
of Annual Giving at 724-357-5555 or iup-giving@iup.edu
with any questions.
