International Unity Day 2017The Office of International Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania will hold International Unity Day on Saturday, April 1, 2017, from noon to 3:00 p.m. in the HUB at IUP. This event is free and open to all.

IUP currently has 923 international students from 58 countries. International Unity Day has been held for over 20 years. This year’s celebration includes 28 country booths and 10 different entertainment acts. We’re pleased to have special booths this year hosted by sixteen Fellows from the International Leaders in Education Program, made possible by IREX and the US Department of State. Come explore the world’s diversity in one day through international cuisine, poster displays, and entertainment.

Each booth is organized by IUP international students and scholars showcasing cultures from their home countries. Food samples will be available at the booths from noon until 1:30 p.m. A children’s room, featuring origami, a photo booth, face painting, and balloon art, will be available from noon until 1:30 p.m. Student and regional performances, including dance, musical selections, will take place from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. in the HUB Ohio Room.

Please join us for another fantastic International Unity Day! A time to renew and explore new cultures through delicious food and heartfelt performances. There’s truly something for everyone—children’s activities, food from around the world, and music and dances to get your toes tapping. No passport required—just an open heart.

International Unity Day is sponsored by the IUP Office of International Education and the IUP Student Co-Op. The event is free and open to all.
