On March 15, 16, and 17, 2017, Assistant Professor Rob Gretta developed and taught three workshops for high school students interested in acting and musical theater in the eastern part of Pennsylvania.

The workshops were free and consisted of musical theater scene work and coaching audition pieces for college as well as upcoming community theater productions. All three workshops were well attended, with approximately 12–15 students in each workshop.

Gretta states, "After years of working professionally as an actor and director, I really wanted to give back to my community and start nurturing its young theater artists. When this opportunity presented itself, I couldn't refuse. And, hopefully, I encouraged some future IUP prospects."
