Thank you for volunteering to serve on a subcommittee of the
President’s Commission on Diversity and Inclusion. We are excited to report that 106 faculty, staff, and students have offered their time, talents, and expertise to this important work! Please know that subcommittee co-chairs and the co-chairs of the commission are busy meeting this week to finalize the membership list of each subcommittee. Individuals who are identified to serve on each subcommittee will be contacted early next week (February 20–24) by their respective subcommittee co-chairs to confirm their involvement and to begin their work.
Because of the overwhelmingly positive response to the call for subcommittee volunteers, the commission is in the challenging position of not being able to appoint all interested persons to serve on a subcommittee. Please know that all volunteers are appreciated, and that the commission is committed to providing multiple opportunities to get involved beyond subcommittee work. If you aren’t contacted to serve on a subcommittee next week, we encourage you to seize one or more of the following opportunities to get involved and make your voice heard:
As subcommittees engage in their work, many will offer open forums to the community to dialogue about their focus area. Please participate in one or more of the offered sessions.

The commission will be establishing one or more “suggestion boxes” on campus to facilitate submission of anonymous feedback/comment (stay tuned for details). We urge you to please use them to get in touch with us, as we truly want to hear from you.

The President’s Commission on Diversity and Inclusion is maintaining its list of all volunteers and their subcommittee interest(s), and will utilize those records in the event that openings appear on one or more of the subcommittees.
