Register for Decorated Surfaces on Wheel-Thrown and Hand-Built Pottery

This course is designed for students who are interested in increasing the visual imagery in their work. Students will learn quick methods for making pottery with focus on creating richly decorated surfaces. The work in this course will be made with cone 6 clay and glazes.

spring pottery Dates: 

Eight Mondays: March 6, 20, 27; April 3, 10, 17, 24; May 1

Supplies Needed in Addition to Registration Fee:

Pottery tool kit, small bucket, towel, and premium clay. (Tool kits can be purchased at the Co-Op Store or Michael’s.)

Fee:

$165 (includes $40 lab fee) plus supplies. Premixed clay can be purchased through IUP Ceramics.

Instructor:

Paige Love earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from IUP and is a recent 2016 graduate with a Master of Arts in Ceramics. She has recently shown her work in national exhibitions in Florida and Iowa. While working in clay, she has developed a passion for surface design and the possibilities it provides.
