If you arrive early to the theatrical spectacle Taj
Express: A Bollywood Musical Revue, you will get to experience yet another
Valentine’s Day-focused happening. The show starts at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February
14, 2017, but the fun begins at 6:45 p.m. in the Grand Lobby of Fisher
A variety of student groups will serve up some specialty
non-alcoholic beverage samples with the theme of Valentine’s Day. Five student
organizations—The Pulse (event organizers), COMO-Community Outreach Helping
Others, IUP Fashion Association, IUP Black Student League, and the Haven
Project—are already signed up, with a couple others expected to come on board. In
addition to enjoying the free samples, audience members will be asked to cast votes for
their favorites in various categories.
Then, what better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than to
see the perfect love story unfold on the Fisher Auditorium stage with original
music, high-energy dance, and dazzling lights, all combining in in one grand spectacle.
Just starting their three-month tour of the US, Taj Express
comes directly from Mumbai, India. This love story features dozens of
performers, hundreds of costumes, and a spirited liveliness that will delight audiences
of any age.
Tickets are available online or at the Hadley Union Building
up until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14. Tickets remaining will be sold at
the door starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Grand Lobby of the Performing Arts Center
on the night of the performance.
