Associate of Arts in General Studies Can Help Students Complete Degree

Students who have some college credits, but not enough or not the right combination for a degree, have a new option at IUP. Recent revisions to the Associate of Arts degree in General Studies will make it easier than ever to use college credits toward a degree, starting in spring 2017.

Designed for busy adult learners who have some college credits, this degree can be completed 100 percent online or in the classroom. Up to 30 transfer credits can be accepted from previous academic work.

Melvin Jenkins, chairperson, commented, “Individuals in the workforce may find that they need some type of degree for career advancement or personal enrichment. The Associate of Arts in General Studies is designed to give them just what they need.”
