The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and IUP’s Chapter of Sigma Xi invite the IUP community, including students, to this semester’s last presentation of the Science Inspires Series. Gregory Kenning, Department of Physics, will end this semester’s SIS lectures with a presentation titled “Nanotechnology, Time, and Temperature: An IUP Story.”
The presentation will be held November 10 at 4:30 p.m. in Johnson Hall, Room 247.
Everything changes with time and temperature. Two different studies, performed by IUP students, will be discussed. The first set of studies on magnetic spin glass materials helps us understand memory effects in materials. The second set of studies leads to the discovery of nanomagnetic electronics and an array of possible applications.
