Every two minutes, someone in the United States is sexually assaulted (RAINN.org). RAINN Day is our way to show support to survivors of violence.
RAINN Day is an annual day of action began by the Rape, Abuse, Incest National Network. RAINN Day aims to raise awareness and educate campus and community members about sexual and domestic violence. We do this by way of creating visual and informative displays, including informational umbrellas and chalking the walkway with empowering sayings. This is to reinforce the message that we support survivors of violence, and that we will not stand for violence on our campus.
The Haven Project provides counseling and advocacy services for students who experience violence. The Haven Project also provides education about stalking, dating/relationship violence, and sexual assault.
