The IUP Center for Creativity and Change will host its fall 2016 workshop, “Brief
Solution-Focused Counseling with Children, Adolescents, and Families: A Toolbox
of Practical Strategies,” with John Murphy. This one-day workshop will be held on Friday,
October 7, at the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
Murphy, professor of Psychology and Counseling
at the University of Central Arkansas, is an internationally recognized
practitioner, author, and trainer of collaborative, strengths-based approaches
with young people, families, and school problems. His books have been
translated into several languages, including the newly released third edition of
the award-winning book Solution-Focused
Counseling in Schools (2015).
Murphy is a sought-after workshop presenter who
has trained thousands of mental health professionals throughout the U.S., Europe,
China, New Zealand, and Canada.
