James Begany, vice president of Enrollment Management and Communications, will be leaving the university to accept a position at the University of Louisville.
Begany’s last day of employment at IUP will be September 28, 2016. He begins work at Louisville, where he will be the vice provost for Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Success, on October 3.
“Jim’s ingenuity, experience, and leadership brought a new level of sophistication and focus to our efforts to attract and retain good students,” IUP President Michael Driscoll said. “His contributions will continue to benefit IUP far into the future. I wish him the very best of luck as he moves on to a great new opportunity.”
Begany was appointed to his post at IUP in March 2011. Previously, he was the university’s associate vice president for Enrollment Management from 2007 to 2011.
More information about the transition will be announced at a later date.
