Driscoll, Powell, and Hixson-Bowles Present at International Conference

Two doctoral candidates, Roger Powell and Kelsey Hixson-Bowles, and one professor, Dana Driscoll, all from the Composition and TESOL doctoral program in the Department of English, presented at the International Writing Across the Curriculum conference (IWAC). IWAC took place June 23-25 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Powell presented on strategies to facilitate learning transfer through responding to student writing, Hixson-Bowles presented on a strengths-based approach for instructor feedback on students’ writing, and Driscoll presented on some results from her six-year longitudinal study of learning transfer and writing development.
