Economics major Hannah Mercer has been chosen by
the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the
2016 Academic All-District Softball Team. This honor ranks Hannah among
the top student-athletes in the nation and reflects her combined
accomplishments athletically and academically.
In addition to being
enrolled in the honors track in economics, Hannah’s academic accolades
include receiving the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Dean’s
Award for her co-authored presentation, “An Analysis of Gender
Inequality in Professional Tennis,” at the 2016 Undergraduate Scholars
Forum and being awarded the Karl A. McDermott Scholarship for Economics.
