Through social media, direct e-mails, and more, IUP will
challenge alumni, friends, parents, and anyone who has a stake in the future
to participate in its annual donor challenge, which takes place for from 7:00 a.m.
to midnight on June 8, 2016.
The theme of this day of giving is Change Our World, and all
gifts to the Foundation for IUP will be matched by an anonymous donor, up to $25,000. You pick
your passion—scholarships, academic programs, or an athletics team. However you
designate your gift, the anonymous donor will match it.
Participate by giving. To quote the late Nelson Mandela: “Education
is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Indeed, we
agree: When you give, you ensure students have access to the best educational
resources and receive the best preparation to go on to change the world.
Invite your friends to participate by sharing the content you see in social
media. Use your influence to make a difference.
The challenge will directly and positively impact the IUP student experience,
but it also will bring IUP closer to attaining critical performance funding.
Annually, IUP competes for performance funding allocations which are awarded by
the State System of Higher Education based upon our achievement of certain
benchmarks—one of which is the number of individuals who make a gift to the
Foundation for IUP. IUP was awarded more than $677,000 this academic year
simply because of the number of people who gave gifts last year.
Although gifts won’t be matched before June 8, you can
always opt to GIVE NOW.
