Call for Programming Proposals: Housing, Residential Living, and Dining

Preparation for fall training for community assistants and academic success mentors is currently underway.  

The office of Housing, Residential Living, and Dining (OHRLD) is encouraging professional staff to present to CAs and ASMs in areas focused around programming and social justice. Professionals may also consider presenting on any topic that may be of great use to trainees for the 2016–17 school year. 

Interested in presenting? Either fill out the Call for Programming Form (and return it to Jessica Oren, or the Call for Social Justice Form (and return it to Kathy Alvarado, Thank you for your help. See example schedule.



Community assistants (first, second, and third year) and academic success mentors (mostly first year) 


Tentative sessions are planned for August 18 (from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and August 24 (from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)


Professional staff who would like the chance to share their information with OHRLD paraprofessional staff.

Training days:

One training day will be focused on programming rotations, the other on social justice rotations.

Session length:

Presenters can choose from 30-, 60-, and 70-minute sessions
